About this service

We offer an outpatient and community-based service providing expertise in assessing, diagnosing, and advising on the clinical management of myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) and chronic fatigue syndrome (also known as CFS). To use the service, patients must registered with a GP surgery in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Our specialist multi-disciplinary team works with patients, their GPs, other health professionals,  and local organisations to develop an individual clinical management plan to help with their long-term rehabilitation.  We are focused on recovery to help our patients lead healthy, independent, and fulfilling lives.

What we provide

Diagnostic and therapeutic options will be tailored to the individual's needs, including offering appointments in clinics, video consultations, telephone or email contacts and domiciliary or home visits.

We ensure that the 2021 NICE guidelines for people with ME or chronic fatigue syndrome are implemented

We provide care for those under 16 years of age to access therapeutic pathways who remain under the care of Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust paediatricians or other community paediatric services for medical care.
