A new self-management programme for those over the age of 45 and living with persistent pain will be rolled out across Cornwall, following a hugely successful trial.
43.7% of Cornwall’s population is classified as rural*. With community nurses often working alone in villages and isolated areas of the county, it can often be a challenge to ensure their safety.
This week nurses, outreach workers, healthcare assistants, a clinical psychologist, a family therapist and a unit manager are among 30 new recruits who joined a team of medical professionals to work within Cornwall’s very first child and adolescent mental health unit.
