Cornwall Community NHS Charity is the working name of Cornwall Partnership Foundation Trust Charitable Fund. We are registered with the Charity Commission in England and Wales. Our charity number is 1058366.

We changed our name in 2025, to reflect who we are, what we do, and where we do it. Through fundraising and generous donations, we can enhance the NHS services delivered in your community. This will benefit our patients, their families, and our staff. With your support, we are enriching health together.

Thank you for your support. It makes a huge difference to our patients, their families and our staff.

How charitable donations have helped to improve our services

Some of the ways that charitable donations have helped to improve our services:

  • supporting research, training and education to determine the best treatments and services for our patients and for staff to learn best practice and continually enhance the care we deliver
  • enhancing outdoor spaces with accessible seating, pathways, and improving access to green space
  • enriching the clinical environment with artwork, murals and plants, making our wards and clinic rooms more conducive to wellbeing and recovery
  • investing in new equipment and technology to support diagnosis and treatment
  • patient comforts such as specialist furniture (such as beanbags, bedside lockers) and entertainment (such as subscriptions for music, mindfulness apps, games, TVs)
  • providing leisure activities, creative workshops and recreational facilities
  • enabling more creative approaches to health through nature, arts and culture
  • sensory equipment and alternative therapies that otherwise would not be funded by the NHS

Benefit to patients and their families

We enhance the experience of patients throughout their care journey, through the services we provide directly and the programmes and equipment we fund on the wards and in the community.

Benefit to staff

We support the wellbeing of Trust staff, collectively and individually, to enable them to deliver the best possible healthcare. We recognise and celebrate the dedication of our incredible workforce.

Research and innovation

We support our research community to drive forward innovation. We lay the foundations for life-changing and life-saving research, improving care locally and science globally.

Equipment and technology

We propel our services beyond what NHS funding can achieve by securing the best available technology and equipment. By investing in the latest equipment, we facilitate earlier diagnoses and enable life-enhancing treatment.

You will find specific details of the grants that the charitable fund has made to the Trust in our annual report and accounts. The annual reports also contain details of the funds we hold.

We acknowledge all donations.

Our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion

Our commitment to deliver continuously improving, high quality and compassionate care to patients can only be achieved by being inclusive and creating the right conditions for our NHS staff to flourish.

We need to be flexible and adaptable to individual needs to avoid discrimination and reduce health inequalities for the wider benefit of all.

We understand that one size does not fit all and for that reason, the charity funds a range of support and wellbeing initiatives to our staff.

  • Raising awareness through the delivery of specialist training in gender diversity, menopause, LGBTQ+ suicide prevention, cultural capability, and supporting neurodivergent individuals at work.
  • Nature connection workshops for health and wellbeing, improving resilience, mitigating burnout and reducing stress in outdoor spaces.
  • Supporting staff networks to provide a safe space for people with shared experiences to come together. They provide peer support and a sense of belonging by creating communities based on shared identities or experiences. They also provide an opportunity for network members to contribute to improving the Trust with more inclusive policies and practices.
  • Building resilience by training hundreds of mental health first aiders to support their colleagues.
  • Enhancing staff rooms and outdoor spaces encouraging staff to take restorative breaks.
  • Funding team building activities to boost morale, increase social connections, and foster camaraderie amongst our diverse teams.
