Visiting (updated January 2021)
Due to the current increase in cases nationally and locally, we urgently need to reduce the number of people coming to our hospitals.
We have therefore taken the decision to restrict visiting unless:
- A person is receiving end of life care, regardless of their covid status
- Are visiting a child – one parent
- Is in the person’s best clinical interests and agreed in line with our internal processes
If you are visiting in one of these circumstances, please arrange this with us first. We will ask you to sign a risk assessment. We will provide you with personal protective equipment.
We know you will want to stay in touch while your relative or friend is in hospital. Patients are able to use their own or one of our mobile devices to telephone, video call or message.
Please bear in mind the confidentiality of other patients when you do this.
Our ward staff should be able to help you to stay in touch using a mobile device. You can also contact or arrange to send messages via our patient experience team by calling 01208 834620 or emailing email@example.com
The ward has protected mealtimes between 12.30pm to 1.30pm and from 5pm to 6pm, however if you would like to help your relative to eat and drink you are welcome to stay on the ward.
Student Nurses and Nurse Apprentices
The ward supports student nurses and nurse apprentices.
Free car parking is available at the hospital.
