Cove Ward

Cove Ward provides fast-track rehabilitation and support with recovery for people age 18+ in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

The staff on Cove Ward work with each person to provide care and support based on each individual’s circumstances and need. Because of the ward’s focus on rehabilitation, staff provide an enhanced level of support which promotes independence and includes families and carers.

Because of its unique focus on rehabilitation, patients are admitted to Cove Ward from one of the Trust’s acute wards – Carbis, Fletcher and Perran – for additional support prior to discharge. Patients are supported to set up an achievable and sustainable recovery plan and to return home.

All patients on Cove Ward have their own en-suite bedroom, as well as access to communal gardens, lounges and therapeutic areas. Additionally Cove’s patients are encouraged and assisted to access therapeutic activities in their local community. This could include education and employment opportunities or help with housing and finances.

Cove is situated within Longreach House on the Camborne/Redruth Community Hospital site.
